Meet your photographer 

Hey there, I'm Marcela Garcia! I am originally from Piedras Negras, Coahuila, and moved to San Antonio, TX to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts specializing in photography. I love gardening, drinking coffee especially early in the mornings, journaling, meditating, and spending time with family. 

You might be thinking about what brought me here, and it all comes back to the openness of experiencing. During college, whether I was working on a sculpture, a painting, a new media soundtrack, or a video, I always found a way of transmitting and evoking emotions through any art medium. All this exploration led me to begin my freelance career as a photographer, intending to not only document but tell stories and capture moments through photography. 

 

My ability to establish a genuine connection with my subjects sets me apart as a photographer. I believe that the most compelling photographs result from trust and collaboration between the photographer and the subject. By creating a comfortable and relaxed environment, I'm able to capture authentic and intimate moments that reflect the true essence of the individual or the event. Whether I shoot a candid portrait, a couple on their wedding day, or a family gathering, I approach each session with all my love, dedication, creativity, and enthusiasm.

Photography is not just a profession or a hobby; it is my way of life, it allows me to express my creativity, connect with people, and explore the world in a unique and meaningful way. It has taught me to see the world through a different lens, to appreciate the simplest things in life, and to find inspiration in unexpected places. It is a constant journey of self-discovery and growth, as I constantly push myself to learn new techniques, experiment with different styles, and explore new horizons.
